TOEKICK BOARD OPTIONS FOR
CLASSIC STYLE SHELVING UNITS
Classic Style Shelving can be ordered with toekick boards (also referred to as a kickplates, toekicks, or kickboards) in the solid wood or laminate wood of your choice.
Home builders add toekick boards to the design for virtually all cabinets that are installed on or close to the floor.
The purpose of toekick boards is to cover the space from the floor up to the bottom of a cabinet or the lowermost shelf. Toekick boards are often used for aesthetics or to conceal wires, pipes, or other utility equipment.
The photograph below illustrates toekick boards installed on a Classic Style shelving unit with an Outside Corner Layout.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR TOEKICK BOARDS
When selecting the wood to be used for your toekicks, you have a choice of either:
1. Solid Wood (also used for vertical supports)
2. Veneered Laminate Wood (also used for shelves)
Because the toekick board option has been added recently, neither the Order Form nor the
Quick-Quote Price Calculator Form have been updated to include this option.
CALCULATING THE PRICE OF TOEKICK BOARDS
First, you must determine the size of each of the boards. Multiply the length (in inches) by the height (in inches). This will give you the number of square inches of the wood. All toekick boards are priced by the square foot. Divide the number of square inches by 144 to calculate the number of square feet.
OBTAINING A PRICE QUOTE FOR A TOEKICK BOARD
After you have submitted the form to request a price quote, you need to send an e-mail to: price-quotes@housewerks.com to request a separate quote for the toekick boards. Be sure to include the following specifications:
- Length (in inches)
- Depth (in inches)
- Height (in inches)
- Type of Wood
- Wood Finish
HouseWerks will send you a price quote by e-mail for the toekick boards you specified. This price is to be added to the price quote that you receive for the shelving unit.
ORDERING TOEKICK BOARDS
If you decide to place an order, please send an e-mail to: orders@housewerks.com indicating that the toekick board option has been selected. Be sure to include all dimensions, wood, and finish specifications.
HouseWerks will verify by e-mail the
toekick specifications that you selected.
The toekick board unit, which may consist of one, two, three, or four boards, is shipped unassembled, with no shipping charges assessed.
Instructions and all materials needed for assembly and installation are included.
